A shelter from unpredictable weather conditions

Weather in Iceland is unpredictable, tough and often very unkind. The Icelandic wool has all the properties to give shelter from all kinds of weather since it’ll keep you warm in cold weather, dry in wet weather, cool in warm weather.

Non-superwash

The Icelandic Wool is non-superwashed, meaning, it hasn’t been chemically treated so that it can be machine washed. Therefore the wool hasn’t lost it’s abilities to grab and hold moisture whilst also keeping you dry.

It also will not stretch after washing although as with all hand knit garments, it is recommended to lay flat to dry.

Vatnsnes Yarn – Icelandic wool – will be available to order in spring 2022.
